  • ‘The fortune is in the follow up. Always ask permission to keep in touch. 
  • When you don’t hear ask for guidance about following up 
  • Don’t give up too soon 
  • Send handwritten notes at some point
  • Mix calls with emails, calls and even WhatsApp
  • Make it fun. Suggest why they haven’t got back to you. 
  • Remind them they did agree at a previous time if you had agreed a date
  • Never assume why they aren’t getting back to you
  • Call early or late in the day
  • Use a common connection if the prospect was introduced by your contact 
  • Always remember when your service or product adds value to their business or personal life you are gifting them your knowledge, expertise and experience
