I joined Kintish in June 2009 as a placement student half-way through my Marketing Management degree at Manchester Metropolitan University. I was not sure what to expect from my placement year and my “first job” and was unsure if I would be given much responsibility and would be treated the same as my colleagues being just “the intern”. I can undoubtedly say that my placement year at Kintish has surpassed all my expectations and I couldn’t have asked for more from a placement position.
From day one I was welcomed as part of the Kintish family, and given my own responsibilities and projects to manage. I have always enjoyed my studies and learning about the marketing field, but my time here at Kintish has increased my knowledge and understanding ten-fold. I feel confident that I am well prepared to continue to do well with my university degree and to be successful in my career after university, and its all thanks to Kintish!

My Kintish journey began in July 2008, having decided to pursue a career in marketing and looking for my first “real” job. I couldn’t have asked for a better place to start than at Kintish!
The experience and knowledge that I have gained in 20 months here, far surpasses anything I learned in three years at university! I have been responsible for marketing campaigns, event management, website and social media marketing to name but a few. From day one you are 100% involved in everything that happens at Kintish HQ, and you are really given the chance to stand up and have your say on the way that things are done. The opportunity to develop yourself professionally is highly encouraged, and supported by all around you. Even more so, I learned the all important Kintish networking system (quite rightly so…imagine leaving Kintish and not being able to network!) , which will be invaluable to me throughout the rest of my career.
Most importantly, the people I have met along the way have been amazing, and I can’t thank them enough. Even to the point where they helped me to get my new job – you can’t say fairer than that?! I have made some wonderful friends here, and I am proud to be a part of the ever growing Kintish family!

When I graduated in 2007 I was lucky enough to secure a position with Kintish as an Events and Marketing Coordinator. From day one I was given my own marketing projects and events to manage, it was very much a case of ‘hit the ground running’ which is exactly what you need when entering work after graduating; the learning curve within the first week was pretty much vertical!
The team at Kintish is often regarded as ‘the Kintish family’, and that’s exactly what it is – from the offset I felt part of the Kintish family and was given support and encouragement from my colleagues and managers. The weekly team meetings ensure that everybody is up to speed with each other’s various campaigns and projects and if there was anything I needed there was always a helping hand nearby.
My experience at Kintish has also helped me focus my career and personal and professional development; I am moving to a position within marketing and will also be studying my Chartered Institute of Marketing qualification in September. My role within Kintish has helped me identify where my strengths lie and what I enjoy in a job and without the experience I have gained at Kintish I am certain I would not have been able to secure my new role. A role within Kintish really is a fantastic starting point for anyone who wishes to pursue a career in the marketing or events field.

Events and Marketing Co-ordinator
July 2007 – May 2009
When first accepting employment at Kintish, I had no idea what I was letting myself in for! My first opportunity to work in the events and marketing industry was daunting and scary and a step into the real world with my first ‘proper job.’ What made it easier was that it was at Kintish.
I couldn’t of asked for a better bunch of people to work with. I was given responsibility from day one although help and assistance was always only a few feet away. Every day was a chance to view my ideas and develop existing ones. Probably the best thing about Kintish was opportunities to develop myself – including attending one of the (soon to be) World renowned Kintish networking seminars presented by the man himself. This will not only help me with my future professional career but also my personal life too (and all those awkward family get togethers!)
My time at Kintish has been invaluable and I positively believe that I would not have been able to achieve my new role without the experience that I have gained here. I have also thoroughly enjoyed the experiences it has given me and have always felt like one of the team.
I wish the ever extending Kintish family every success in the future and will definitely be staying in touch (whether you like it or not!) Once again, thank you for the support, experience and enjoyment that I have had over the past 8 months.
